Fitzsimmons Zone

It's the original Whistler Mountain Bike Park zone with all 5 difficulty levels including the infamous A-Line, and all 5 skill centres. The Fitz Zone features a trail to suit every rider whether it’s your first time or looking to take things to the next the level. Situated on the lower slope from Whistler village up to the Olympic station at 1000m (3,300ft), here is the core energy of Whistler, spreading out from the central trails around the lifts, deep into the forests on either side as far as Crank it Up and Golden Triangle.

This is Fitzsimmons. The original zone. Where friends meet and new lines are learned. It's where megatrain's were born and beers at the end are shared. It's where lap, after, lap, after lap goes down more than anywhere else... period. It simply is the heart, soul, and personality of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, and it's yours.

Find your zone. Go, chase it down.

A Riders Take on Fitz

Tristan Merrick from the Whistler Mountain Bike Park Team explains his take on the the culture and history of Fitz Zone.

What does Fitz zone mean to me? It's where all the bike trails started way back in the day from a basic road, where they used to bomb down, to now where you're seeing a variety of trails from beginner... to straight up advance trails. They are pushing the limits and pushing the elite riders to test their skills from top to bottom... Tristan Merrick, Bike Park Team Rider
